About Reframing the Future

Reframing the Future is a major workforce development initiative of the Australian, State and Territory Governments. It assists in building the capacity of the Australian vocational education and training (VET) system to support the implementation of the national training system and the aims of the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) and its national reform agenda. More

The Reframing the Future program has three components in 2008.

Funded Projects

Reframing the Future provides matched funding for approximately 200 staff development and change management projects annually. Since its inception in 1997, the Reframing the Future national project team has worked with over 60,000 participants from VET organisations who are implementing the national training system in workplaces around Australia. Engaging VET Practitioners forums

Reframing the Future facilitates an annual series of forums to engage VET practitioners in a current issue or trend in VET teaching, learning and assessment practice. More

Publications

Reframing the Future produces a range of publications to support and report on the funded projects and engaging VET practitioners activities. All publications are available free in a range of formats to VET organisations and practitioners through the website. More

Strategic advice to the program

The National Quality Council (NQC) through one of its standing committees will provide strategic advice on national priorities to the program, ensuring that the Reframing the Future program is also aligned with the plans of the NQC. For more information about the NQC, visit the NQC website

A State and Territories group provides the project team with advice on local needs relating to staff development and change management and assists with the dissemination of information about the program.
